The Enforcer is the first of its kind, a foldable DSLR run’n’gun rig. It’s small enough to fit in your back pocket but when unfolded, it’s an extremely stable DSLR camera support.

The Enforcer includes our Gorilla Plate V2 as the platform for your camera. You can attach your Zacuto Z-Finder Mounting Frame to this Gorilla Plate V2. Attach your camera to the plate with the single ¼ 20 screw and quick release on and off the Enforcer with the red quick release ratcheting lever. The Gorilla Plate can be attached at two different points. Keep the Enforcer in a vertical position for use with a Zacuto Z-Finder. This will give you the correct distance from your eye to the Z-Finder eyecup. Extend the Enforcer via the red push lever to place the camera further away for use without a Z-Finder. This gives you a bit more distance to focus on the camera LCD.

Built into the Enforcer is a gunstock with a comfortable rubber pad. Adjust the angle and/or position of the gunstock with the two Allen screws to conform to your body size and shape.

The Enforcer folds up by first quick releasing your camera off the rig. Then push the red push lever to snap the camera support arm down. Push down on the silver circular cap to flip the gunstock away. Reverse to quickly get the Enforcer ready to shoot! Please click on our video tab to watch a short video demonstrating the collapsible features of this kit.

Want to add front rods to hold a follow focus? Consider adding our
Mini DSLR Baseplate. Need to adapt the Gorilla Plate V2 to a tripod/dolly/monopod etc.? Check out the Gorilla Tripod Dock.

Enforcer + Canon C100MK2
Back in my DSLR days I physically could not get steady footage when shooting handheld. My solution was the old Zacuto Rapid Fire + Z-Finder combo and the results were game changing. My handheld footage could be as smooth as I wanted to be with a very tiny footprint and I could shoot forever with that rig.

Then for some reason when I upgraded to a C100MK2 and it came with better ergonomics for handheld shooting I just started using it bare - true "handheld". While this was super convenient, my cinematography was suffering. I didn't notice it at first because I was no longer seeing the jello or jitters that you see with DLSRs, but edit after edit I was really unhappy with my handheld footage, ESPECIALLY any documentary footage where I'm walking and filming at the same time.

After my last project that I edited, I was so mad at my handheld stuff and then I remembered the Rapid Fire and wondered if it would work on a C100MK2. After some searching I found the new version - the Enforcer - and was intrigued. I searched high and low across the internet to see if anyone was using it with a bigger camera like a C100 and couldn't find anything, so I thought it was worth a try and ordered it.

When I received it, I figured out how to use it pretty quickly and did some tests and was blown away by how steady my handheld stuff became. Then the true test was walking with it while filming and I'll be darned if it wasn't almost as smooth as when it's on my Ronin. I immediately felt stoked on the footage I'll be able to get now, while at the same time I was kicking myself for not buying this, oh, like 3 years ago!!

While Zacuto doesn't advertise this rig for use outside of DSLRs, I can tell you that it absolutely works for the C100. In a perfect world it would be a little shorter so all the weight of a larger camera isn't so far out in front of you - I can see this causing some stamina issues on longer doc shoots, but it does the trick and the improved quality of shots is well worth it. Instead of doing several takes to get the shot I can see this allowing me to get smooth shots first take which should offset the stamina issues.

We love this must have tool, we use 5D's as we are run and gun. No tripods here, we use stabilized lens and the enforcer to get steady footage. I would also recommend getting the Z-finder with this device so you have 3 points of contact as you focus and frame your shots. You break it down and fit it into over-sized pocket when not in use.

Bottom Line Buy This Device!

What a powerful tool that fits in your hand when folded up it so light yet so rigid I have filmed a whole day with this using just a z-finder. With 3 points of contact you can get very stable shots with the Enforcer!it easy to run and gun with this rig. Philip Bloom raves about this product as well...

We got our hands on this wonderful unit last week and feel in love with it from the moment we started film. (we also used it with the Z-finder) It was so comfortable and quick to use with our Canon 5D & 7D. One quick turn on the red knob and you camera is secured on the Enforcer or can easily be removed to mount it to a tripod! For quick shoots in tight spaces it's also the perfect tool!

Enforcer - more than expected
It took me a long time before I decided to purchase the Enforcer. I was using Edelkrone PocketRig for my hand held shots but it was always difficult to keep it steady while pressing against my shoulder with that little pad and the camera was twisting left and right. I wanted to find something that I can press hard against my shoulder and use the viewfinder to have that additional 3rd point of contact to stabilize the shots and still have a compact rig.

I watched the Zacuto video numerous times and finally I decided to get the Enforcer. When it arrived and I put my Canon 5DMkIII along with the Z-finder Pro and I could not believe the difference. The Enforcer made my shots look like as I would be using a tripod. The comfort, compactness, stability and easiness with which it folds in and out is quite superb. The built quality is fantastic! No need to constantly adjust the little screws I had to do with Edelkrone. I'm very pleased with my decision. Bravo to Zacuto and their designers!

Portable Excellence!
I got this for run and gun with my Nikon D7100 and it's super stable. It folds up very compactly and is very solidly constructed. I debated between either this or the Marauder for a long time and finally, happily, decided on this. My final reasoning was that I really prefer having my hands close to the camera since I'm adjusting everything manually (focus, zoom, etc). Both modes of operation are very stable. I really like having it braced against my chest with one hand on the Enforcer and one hand supporting the camera while viewing through my outboard monitor/recorder. It's very stable and manageable that way.

This by far has been one the best purchases I have made as far as video equipment. I own a Movi M5 which I love but I can only operate it for short amounts of time it just gets to heavy after 10-15 minutes of use. This weekend I just got the Enforcer for a run and gun shoot on a movie short. I used with my Canon C100 with continuous focus and used for 2-3 hour non-stop. I now prefer this device over my monopod for run and gun. If your serious and need to shoot run and gun style Buy This Product!

Great as a travel rig
The enforcer is awesome. It's small and compact and with its ability to be folded and stored away, you don't have to deal with carrying too much weight for your travel needs.

I took this on a trip to NYC and as soon as I got off the plane, I pulled it out of my camera back and had a locked off steady shot in seconds.

Highly recommend it to anyone that needs quick access to steady shots on the go.

Scaling Mountains with the Zacuto Enforcer
Jonn Jeanneret - I took the Enforcer up rock cliffs, over the ocean in a kayak and long-tail boat, and repeatedly tossed it down in the sand where it would lie in the sun for hours. The Enforcer took more than a good few bumps on the rocks. None of this rough treatment fazed it at all. It still opened and closed as smoothly as it did on day one. Its shiny black paint mocked my attempts to put it through the wringer.

I attach the Enforcer to a climbing sling so I can wear it over my shoulder. It's there when I need it and out of the way when I don't. If you want the best and would rather worry about your shot than your gear, the Zacuto Enforcer is the rig for you.

Enforcer and Z-Finder
No ones hands are steady enough to produce professional hand held video. If you are passionate about video and want to make it work, you need to develop a portfolio that says to future employers; I take my work seriously and I stabilize my shots. It took less than 20 minutes to set up the Zacuto Enforcer and learn how it worked the night before my shoot. The kit comes with all the tools you'll need (which is awesome because I don't own a screwdriver...). I used it with a viewfinder too. I don't know how I shot without a viewfinder before. Here's a side by side video of me shooting with and without the rig. - Beatriz Wallace

Cruisin with the Enforcer
This rig is unlike anything you've seen before. They fold up! They're extremely durable and are essential for getting stable shots with my DSLR, especially while recording video.

The first thing I noticed about this rig is how it is extremely portable. It fit quite comfortably in my ThinkTank Mirrorless Mover 30i camera bag. Unfolding the Enforcer rig couldn't be easier. With just a few pushes and twists to unfold the rig... you're ready to go!

During a wedding shoot, this rig was comfortable to use all day. Because of its size, I was able to get into small spaces and extend my reach giving me stable low angle and high angle shots.
