The Universal Baseplate works with all cameras, including Panasonic HVX200, DVX100a/b, Canon XL-H1, XL1, XL1s, XL2, GL2, XH-A1 Sony XDCAM EX1,Sony F3, Sony NEX-FS100*, SO-HVR-Z1U, VX1000, VX2000, PD-150, PD-170, JVC GY-HD100U,HD200U, HD250U, Silicon Imaging SI2K, RED ONE and any other cameras of this size.

Zacuto Universal Baseplate includes 12-inch rods and works and allows mounting accessories off the front and the back of the rods. The Universal Baseplate mounts to the camera with a 1/4 20" screw and a locking pin and it attaches to the tripod plate with both 3/8 16" and 1/4 20" screws. It has 4.5" slide capability for balancing on the tripod and 4.5" slide for balancing the camera as well. The Baseplate has up and down as well as side to side adjustments, allowing it to align all cameras with various equipment, like matte boxes and follow focus units.

The Baseplate comes with 12" support rods that are 15mm in diameter and 60mm standard lightweight distance between rod centers. The 12" rods are female threaded on both ends. The Zacuto universal baseplate will work with all 15mm lightweight support matteboxes and follow focus units.

NOTE: The Universal Baseplate comes with the Z-UB3-ORG T-Slide. This T-Slide consists of a 1/4 20" screw and locking pin. If you need a different T-Slide, you may add it for an additional charge below.

Z-UB3-CT2: This T-Slide has (2) 1/4 20"/3/8 16" t-slides including only the 1/4 20" screws. This is for the RED ONE and Sony F3, and other cameras requiring two 1/4 20" screws.

Z-UB3-CT3: This T-Slide has (1) 1/4 20" and 3/8 16" T-Slide with both screws included.

*If using an FS100 with a matte box, a Z-Spacer or Quick-Release Plate is needed to raise the camera to the propert height needed.

Mini Baseplate with 12in Rods

The Zacuto Mini Baseplate (Z-M-UB) is a smaller version of the Zacuto Universal Baseplate (Z-UB3). The Mini Baseplate has many of the same features as the Universal Baseplate but was designed for use with smaller cameras like the RED Epic and Scarlet, Sony NEX FS100*, as well as DSLRs like the Nikon D90, Canon 5d Mark II. The Mini Baseplate can also be used with Midsized flat bottom cameras like the Panasonic HPX170, HVX200, Sony EX1, and other cameras of this size as well as Small HD cameras like the Canon HV20, HV30, and so forth.

The Mini Baseplate now has a ¼” 20 screw, a 3/8” 16 screw, and a locking pin on the base to allow you to mount your camera. If you need (2) 3/8” 16 screws, you can purchase our 3/8 16 to 1/4 20 Screw Adapter and convert the ¼” 20 screw that is included to a 3/8” 16 screw (Needed for the RED Epic and Scarlet). The mini baseplate attaches to the tripod plate with both 3/8 16" and 1/4 20" screws. The Mini Baseplate has up and down as well as side to side adjustments, allowing it to align all cameras with various matte boxes and follow focus units. The Mini Baseplate is supplied with 12” female/female threaded rods.

Zwiss Plate

The Zacuto Zwiss Plate is Zacuto’s multi-purpose mounting plate. It allows you to mount articulating arms, rods, batteries, converter boxes and various other camera accessories to your support system. Unlike other cheese plates, the Zwiss Plate has two sets of industry standard 15mm rod holes spaced 60mm apart. This allows vertical mounting onto standard 15mm rods. A second set of rods can be mounted through the top of the plate if you wish to extend your rig at another level. The red levers enable you to securely mount the plate onto your rods. The Zwiss Plate is also designed to work with our new Wireless Plate for mounting multiple wireless receivers.

You can use the Zwiss Plate to mount a variety of accessories or brick style batteries and battery plates. The Zwiss Plate works with both Anton Bauer 3-Stud and V-Mount style batteries. The battery plate and battery mounted on the Zwiss Plate can double as counterbalance. You can still add more counterbalance by adding our Z-Lite weights to the back of the rig along with the Zwiss Plate. Our Zamerican quick release arms mount directly into the 15mm holes of the plate and are perfect for mounting lights, monitors and audio devices. It now comes with the (4) screws needed to mount the AJA Ki Pro Mini. With plenty of ¼ 20” and 3/8 16” holes, your mounting options are limitless.

Zrod Lock Mount

The Zrod Lock Mount is a 15mm right angle rod adapter. It slides onto a 15mm rod and tightens with the red lever. A 15mm male/female rod (any length) screws into the female threaded hole and secures with an Allen. This gives you a secure right angle connection that can still slide up and down your rig for individual comfort and accessory placement. The Zrod Lock Mount is the perfect piece if you own the EVF Tri Mount Kit and wish to mount it onto another manufactures rig or our Universal Baseplate. An additional male/female rod (not included) will be necessary.

The Large Sensor Camera Foam Insert holds the AF100, FS100 and DSLR's. This is a multi-use foam insert and a variety of items can fit inside. It holds the cameras mounted to our Universal Baseplate and various other accessories. There are compartments for our EVF, Z-Finder, a matte box, lenses, cables, manuals, rod extensions and more. Z-Spacer

The Z-Spacer is used with our Universal Baseplate when mounting a DSLR or the FS100 camera and using a matte box. The Z-Spacer allows you to mount any matte box and the Z-Focus by rising the camera and moving it forward so the lens mount is over the rods. For the FS100, the Z-Spacer raises the camera to the proper height for the lens to reach a matte box.
