The Universal Baseplate works with all cameras, including Panasonic HVX200, DVX100a/b, Canon XL-H1, XL1, XL1s, XL2, GL2, XH-A1 Sony XDCAM EX1, SO-HVR-Z1U, VX1000, VX2000, PD-150, PD-170, JVC GY-HD100U,HD200U, HD250U, Silicon Imaging SI2K, RED ONE and any other cameras of this size.

Zacuto Universal Baseplate includes 12-inch rods and works and allows mounting accessories off the front and the back of the rods. The Universal Baseplate mounts to the camera with a 1/4 20" screw and a locking pin and it attaches to the tripod plate with both 3/8 16" and 1/4 20" screws. It has 4.5" slide capability for balancing on the tripod and 4.5" slide for balancing the camera as well. The Baseplate has up and down as well as side to side adjustments, allowing it to align all cameras with various equipment, like matte boxes and follow focus units.

The Baseplate comes with 12" support rods that are 15mm in diameter and 60mm standard lightweight distance between rod centers. The 12" rods are female threaded on both ends. The Zacuto universal baseplate will work with all 15mm lightweight support matteboxes and follow focus units.

NOTE: Universal Baseplate Camera T-slide Kit is needed for the RED ONE camera and any other cameras that require 2 1/4 20" screws.

Upgrade to stainless steel screws to prevent rusting.

Mini Baseplate with 12" Rods

The Zacuto Mini Baseplate (Z-M-UB) is a smaller version of the Zacuto Universal Baseplate (Z-UB3). The Mini Baseplate has many of the same features as the Universal Baseplate but was designed for use with smaller DSLR cameras such as the Nikon D90, Canon 5d Mark II. The Mini Baseplate can also be used with Midsized flat bottom cameras like the Panasonic HPX170, HVX200, Sony EX1, and other cameras of this size as well as Small HD cameras like the Canon HV20, HV30, and so forth.

The Mini Baseplate mounts to the camera with a 1/4 20" screw and a locking pin and it attaches to the tripod plate with both 3/8 16" and 1/4 20" screws. The Mini Baseplate has up and down as well as side to side adjustments, allowing it to align all cameras with various matte boxes and follow focus units. Indie Baseplate Kit

Our Indie Kit takes our Cine Kit a step further by allowing the entire rig to be used shoulder-mounted. The Indie Kit includes all of the mounting equipment needed for the independent filmmaker – you can mount a matte box, follow focus, wireless microphone receiver and external monitor.
