The Zacuto Electronic Viewfinder (EVF) is a 3.2 high resolution monitor to be used in conjunction with any Z-Finder model. The EVF is compatible with all cameras that have an HDMI output, including most DSLRs, the Panasonic AF-100, Sony F3, RED ONE, RED Scarlet and RED Epic. The EVF is compatible with the Blackmagic Camera (or other camera with no HDMI output) with use of the Blackmagic HD-SDI to HDMI mini converter. The EVF allows you to operate with your camera "in-line" with your rod system and an offset viewfinder in front of your eye. We believe, this traditional film camera and ENG camera style of shooting is the most stable and comfortable. Now we can work this way with any camera! The EVF enhances the stability of any set up, gives you better resolution and focus ability, allows you to get your eye where it most comfortably needs to be, enables low mode shooting, and shortens a shoulder mounted camera package. With an external viewfinder, youre no longer trapped behind the back of your camera. You can have your camera on a dolly or crane or in a car or anywhere and have the EVF in your hand.
The EVF Snap has our standard Zacuto Z-Finder Frame built into the unit. Any Z-finder model, Pro or Jr, can snap on and off the EVF. You can use the EVF as a small on-board monitor or in combination with any Zacuto Z-finder.

The EVF Flip has a Z-Finder frame built into the unit that can be flipped open to 180 degrees. If a producer/client/director etc. wants to see into the viewfinder, you can flip it open instead of having to adjust so they can get their eye to the loupe. You can also pop off the Z-Finder and use the EVF as a monitor similar to the EVF Snap. The EVF Flip is compatible with any Z-finder.

The Z-Finder EVF is a complete EVF. It includes the EVF Snap model and our Z-finder Jr optical viewfinder. The viewfinder snaps onto the frame built into the monitor. The optical viewfinder contains high quality 2.5x optics and includes anti-fog shields. It does not include a diopter, but comes with three Zacuto Z-Finder Extender Frames. The Extender Frames allow farsighted users to extend the body of the Z-finder in steps in order to reach desired focus point. This method is not as precise as the diopter method used on our Z-finder Pro models.

The Z-Finder EVF Pro is a complete EVF with diopter. It includes the EVF Flip model and an optical viewfinder which can snap onto the frame of the monitor and also flip up 180 degrees. The optical viewfinder contains high quality 2.5x optics with anti-fog shields and a diopter. It also includes three extender frames. The Z-Finder Extender Frames allow you to further adjust the focal point of the Z-Finder by semi-permanently stacking the frames via a snap fit onto the skirt of the Z-Finder until the LCD screen is in focus for you. You can then dial in closer with the diopter wheel.
