Gorilla Plate Adapter
The Gorilla Plate Adapter centers the tripod holes on the bottom of the gorilla plate. The Gorilla Plate Adapter is used in conjunction with the Zacuto Gorilla Plate. The Gorilla Plate adapter is needed to center the lens and camera between the rods if you are using a Z-Finder Pro with another manufacturer's rod support system supporting follow focuses and matte boxes.
Note: A height adjustable matte box is needed if using a matte box with the Gorilla plate on another manufactures plate system unless their plate system is height adjustable like the Zacuto DSLR Baseplate.
The Gorilla Plate Adapter comes with a longer 1/4 20" screw that will replace the smaller 1/4 20" screw that comes with the Gorilla Plate. You will need to take your screw out and use the longer one provided with the adapter to attach your camera to the plate.

Gorilla Plate
The Gorilla Plate is used in both of our Gorilla Kits (Striker and Target Shooter) and must be used with the Z-Finder Pro.
The Z-Finder V2 will also work with this plate! You must also purchase a frame to mount your V2 onto the Gorilla Plate. The Gorilla plate attaches to your camera using the standard tripod screw hole. You can also mount your tripod plate underneath the Gorilla plate so you can quickly go from handheld to tripod use. For mounting the Gorilla plate to the tripod, it has (2) ¼ 20” screw holes and a locking pin hole. The Z-Finder frame attaches to the Gorilla plate using two thumb screws.
The thumb screws and slider are not included with the Gorilla Plate; they are included with the Z-Finder Frames. The frame can be removed by loosening the thumb screws and pulling up on the frame.

Z-Finder Pro 3x
The Z-Finder Pro 3x is another one of Zacuto’s Optical Viewfinders that allows DSLR cameras to have the correct form factor for video. It offers 3x focusable magnification (2.5x is available),a 40mm diameter Zacuto optical designed lens, an anti-fog coating protective cover, an eyecup preventing extraneous light leakage, a diopter and a field of view perfectly matched to 3” LCD screens. The diopter allows you to dial in the focus to match your eye. If you need extra focal point you can use the Z-Finder Extender Frames. The Z-Finder Pro 3x has a diopter range of -2.75 and up (unlimited with extender frames). These are semi-permanently stackable frames that attach to the skirt of the Z-Finder Pro and extend the Z-Finder glass further way from the LCD screen for people who are farsighted. This frame is not compatible with the D800, D4, 1DX, or 5D Mark III. We will have frames for these cameras mid May 2012
