The kits centers around our Studio Baseplate for Canon C100/300/500 cameras (standard 3/8 16 and ¼ 20 tripod mount underneath) with 12" rods. The rods can slide back and forth to accommodate different lenses and accessories by turning the red levers at the side of the plate. Our comfy shoulder pad also slides on the rods for comfort and ease of use. A 3.5lb weight sits behind the shoulder pad for counterbalance. This handy little kit creates as close to a typical ENG size set up as you can get for your C100/300/500 camera. It’s the best of both worlds!
Attached to the front of our rods is our ENG Grip Relocator for the Canon C100/300/500*. The Canon removable camera grip attaches directly to our Grip Relocator and our exclusive cable connects to the port on your camera. This is a perfect match for our Target Shooter or Striker kits or if you are just shooting with a Z-Finder Pro. The handle is ideal for low-mode shooting and easy transport of your camera. It secures to the camera’s hot shoe with a cold shoe mount. The Cold Shoe Handle mounts to the hot shoe based via Zacuto’s quick release Z-Rail system, allowing you to leave the base on the camera and remove the handle with the flip of a lever. The handle can be slid left or right on the Z-Rail to balance the camera’s center of gravity. Zacuto dovetail accessories are adjustable to work with Z-Rail, NATO, SWAT, RED, PICATINNY, and WOODEN CAMERA rails. The Z-rail is 3” long and can be turned with the cold shoe at 90 degree angles so you can set the handle pointing any direction you like. The handle can connect to the Z-rail backwards or forwards.

The Gorilla Baseplate for the EOS C300, Scarlet and Epic cameras is a simpler, lighter version of our C300 Studio Baseplate. It attaches to the camera with 3/8” 16 and ¼” 20 screws*. The Gorilla Baseplate features 15mm diameter, 60mm spaced threaded rod holes in the front of the base plate that allow users to mount a follow focus, lens support or other accessories in front of the camera. The Gorilla Baseplate is not compatible for matte box use unless you have a height adjustable matte box**.
The Gorilla Baseplate also features our rod port system on the side of the plate which allows you to mount an EVF or other accessories off of the side. The Gorilla Baseplate is great for building simple run’n’gun type set ups like the C300 Target Shooter, C300 Striker and Recoil. It can also be used for a simple tripod set-up. The Z-Finder Aircraft Aluminum Frame must be used in conjunction with the Gorilla plate. The Z-Finder frame attaches to the Gorilla plate with two thumb screws; the Gorilla plate is attached to the bottom of your camera. The frame has a rubber coating on the end which stays against the LCD screen with pressure. The connection between the Z-Finder and frame is a snap fit. The Z-Finder snaps into the frame and can quickly snap off for going between video and photos. To release the frame from your camera, you must un-do the thumb screws and slide the frame off. This frame is used on the small body cameras with 3" screens and no battery grips such as the Canon 5D Mark II, Canon 7D, Canon 550D Canon 60D, Nikon D90, Nikon D300, D7000 and other cameras of the same size.

You can mount the Cheese Stick either on the top or bottom of the EVF in 3 different positions. Mounting the Cheese stick with the step facing out enables you to use a Zicro Mini to mount a Zamerican Arm using our z-release technology. This will prevent the Zicro Mini from spinning loose and un-threading - a common issue with standard mounting arms. All of these options give you more flexibility in mounting your EVF. The EVF Gorilla Plate Bracket is used to mount the EVF onto any of the Zacuto Gorilla Kits that use a Gorilla Plate. It can also be used to mount the EVF onto the DSLR Baseplate. The EVF Gorilla Plate Bracket includes a "sling" bracket which mounts to the Gorilla Plate or DSLR Baseplate using the two allen screws that also attach the red thumb screw block to the plates. (If you are familiar with mounting the Z-Finder Frame on the Gorilla Plate or DSLR Baseplate, the sling bracket is mounted the same way). At the end of the sling bracket is a Z-Mount Zwivel which allows you to attach the EVF Pan and Tilt Mount (included). The Z-Mount Zwivel gives you the ability to position the EVF in a few different ways. Attached to the EVF Pan and Tilt Mount is the ZicroMini. The ZicroMini then attaches to the bottom of EVF with its 1/4" 20 screw. This allows you to quickly release your EVF frmo the mount with the flip of a lever.
