The Z-Focus Extender is used to extend the distance between the focus knob and gear housing on any Zacuto Z-Focus. Moving the focus knob away from the rods is essential for compact rig setups with multiple accessories. The Z-Focus Extender is 4.5" long. The added distance provides clearance between an EVF and focus knob, making it much easier for the focus puller or camera operator to control the knob and see focus marks. This accessory can potentially shorten your overall rig length by three inches, moving the rig center of gravity closer to the user’s shoulder. Installation is easy. If you are using a Z-Focus that was purchased before January of 2010 or your Z-Focus gear has a hole in the middle instead of a metal pin, please call as you will need a different screw to mount the extender properly.

Z-Focus with ZipGear Prime Lens Kit

The Z-Focus is an extremely accurate follow focus that allows the operator or assistant to pull focus. This kit includes the Z-Focus and a set of (4) ZipGear Universals and is for 15mm lightweight rods. The follow focus mechanism utilizes a set of gears that connect to and spin the focus ring (.8/32 geared lenses) or the ZipGear (4 included) on the camera lens for lenses that are not geared. The 3D white marking disk allows the focus puller or operator to create distance marks for repeatable focus pulls.

Flippable Reversible Z-Focus

Zacuto's Flippable Reversible Z-Focus is an extremely accurate follow focus for 15mm lightweight rods. The mechanism utilizes a set of gears that connect to and spin the focus ring or Zacuto zip gear on the camera lens. The white disk allows the focus puller to create distance marks for repeatable focus pulls. This Z-Focus has a new flippable design so you can quickly remove the follow focus and flip it from the operator to the assistant side in seconds. It also has a reversible feature which allows you to quickly reverse the direction of the follow focus drive unit so it rotates in the opposite direction which is useful when focusing Nikon lenses.

EVF Filmmaker Kit

The EVF Filmmaker Kit is the ultimate shoulder mounted rig for the indie filmmaker designed to work with any of our EVFs . It uses our Universal Baseplate to mount to any camera, including the Panasonic AF-100, Sony F3, Sony FS100, RED ONE, HVX200 and other cameras of this size. The EVF Filmmaker Kit includes our Z-Focus follow focus, ZipGear Prime Lens Kit (set of lens gears), and everything you need to mount a matte box, pro batteries and any of our EVF viewfinders off of the Universal Baseplate. The EVF Filmmaker Kit comes with our Q-Release which enables the shoulder pad to sit underneath the Universal Baseplate, shortening the length of the rig for better stability and balance on your shoulder. With the included EVF Rod Mount, your EVF or small monitor (under 5") will be mounted offset to the rig so that your eye is positioned comfortably in front of it. The Zgrips Beefy included with the kit are infinitely adjustable with un-parallel strength. Designed for camera packages between 22-40 lbs, each grip can be moved up, down, left, right, as well as fully articulate at the wrist. You can also set the grip length and position to where you feel most comfortable for a stable and balanced rig. The Zwiss Plate cheese plate on the back of the rig allows you to mount virtually anything with the provided 1/4 20" and 3/8 16" holes, including batteries and the AJA Ki Pro Mini. FS100 Filmmaker Kit

The FS100 Filmmaker Kit is specifically designed for the Sony FS100, however it can be used with other video cameras similar to the FS100. The base of this kit is our trusty Mini Baseplate and Z-spacer. The Z-spacer raises the camera to get the lens at the correct height for use with a matte box. The Z-spacer is not necessary with other cameras like the Sony F3 and AF100.

The FS100 Filmmaker kit is a in-line shoulder mounted kit that will allow you to use the Zacuto EVF (not included) off the side with our EVF Rod Mount, like a traditional camera package. It includes our Shoulder Pad, Zgrips V3 and Zwiss plate for mounting professional batteries and the AJA Ki Pro mini. The Zwiss plate with professional batteries will also act as a counter balance weight when shooting handheld.

This kit also includes our Z-Focus follow focus and a set of lens gears to allow you to pull accurate focus.

This is the perfect all in one kit for FS100 owners. No worries if you have another camera, you can still use this kit, just take off the Z-Spacer and you are good to go.

Stinger for Scarlet and Epic Cameras

The Stinger for Scarlet and Epic Cameras is a fully balanced shoulder mounted rig perfect for those long shooting days. The rig features our Studio Baseplate for Scarlet and Epic Cameras. This baseplate features our Rod Riser with 4.5” rods. The Rod Riser provides the correct rod height when using a matte box or follow focus with the Scarlet and Epic. Rods also run out of the back of the plate to hold the shoulder pad and counterbalance weights or batteries mounted on our Zwiss Plate for counter weight. On each side of the baseplate there is also a set of 15mm lightweight holes. The side rod ports holes take 15mm female rods that are locked via an Allen screw. This gives users virtually unlimited mounting options such as mounting a Zwiss Plate with professional batteries off of the side when shooting on a tripod for better balance, creating a cage configuration, or mounting Zacuto articulating arms, an EVF Mount, rods and more. The baseplate has standard ¼” 20 and 3/8” 16 holes on the bottom for mounting the rig onto a tripod.

Stinger For Canon C100-C300-C500

The Stinger For Canon C100-C300-C500 is an in-line system best used on long shooting days. It is a balanced shoulder mounted rig. It features our C300 Studio Baseplate which attaches to the camera with 3/8” 16 and ¼” 20 screws*.This baseplate features a pair of 15mm rods that are 12” long running through the length of the baseplate. You can quickly reposition the rods for various lens lengths by loosening the 2 levers, one on each side of the baseplate. On each side of the baseplate there is also a set of 15mm lightweight holes. The side holes take 15mm female rods that are locked via an allen screw. This gives users a virtually unlimited amount of mounting options. With these side holes, you have the option of turning the baseplate into a cage configuration. Another option is to mount a Zwiss plate with professional batteries off of the side when shooting on a tripod for better balance.

The Stinger includes our Shoulder Pad with 7” rods and Z-Lite 7 lb counterbalance weight for a fully balanced in-line rig. The more balanced and less front heavy the rig, the longer you can hold it without arm fatigue. This rig is compatible with any 15mm accessories. The Z-Focus would be a great add on accessory if you are looking for a follow focus.
