Z-Spacer

The Z-Spacer is used with our Universal Baseplate when mounting a DSLR or the FS100 camera and using a matte box. The Z-Spacer allows you to mount any matte box and the Z-Focus by rising the camera and moving it forward so the lens mount is over the rods. For the FS100, the Z-Spacer raises the camera to the proper height for the lens to reach a matte box.

Mini Baseplate with 12in Rods

The Zacuto Mini Baseplate (Z-M-UB) is a smaller version of the Zacuto Universal Baseplate (Z-UB3). The Mini Baseplate has many of the same features as the Universal Baseplate but was designed for use with smaller cameras like the RED Epic and Scarlet, as well as DSLRs like the Nikon D90, Canon 5d Mark II. The Mini Baseplate can also be used with Midsized flat bottom cameras like the Panasonic HPX170, HVX200, Sony EX1, and other cameras of this size as well as Small HD cameras like the Canon HV20, HV30, and so forth.

The Mini Baseplate now has a ¼” 20 screw, a 3/8” 16 screw, and a locking pin on the base to allow you to mount your camera. If you need (2) 3/8” 16 screws, you can purchase our 3/8 16 to 1/4 20 Screw Adapter and convert the ¼” 20 screw that is included to a 3/8” 16 screw (Needed for the RED Epic and Scarlet). The mini baseplate attaches to the tripod plate with both 3/8 16" and 1/4 20" screws. The Mini Baseplate has up and down as well as side to side adjustments, allowing it to align all cameras with various matte boxes and follow focus units. The Mini Baseplate is supplied with 12” female/female threaded rods.
