The Z-Rail Kit combines four of our most popular Z-Rail accessories into one multi-purpose kit.

The base is our 3" Z-Rail. It is compatible with the RED Epic/Scarlet, Sony F3 and FS700, Panasonic AF100, Black Magic Camera and others. It attaches via (2) ¼” 20 screws (included) that are spaced 3/8" screw center to center at their closest to 2" 5/32" at their furthest.

Attached to the 3" Z-Rail is a Z-Rail Slide Mount. The Z-Rail Slide Mount clamps onto our standard Z-Rail and tightens with a quick release ratcheting lever. The Z-Rail Slide Mount can clamp forwards or backwards and slide up and down the Z-Rail for balance and accessory placement. It has a threaded rod port and can accept a Zacuto 15mm male rod. This allows you to attach a rod set at a right angle to the Z-rail. The top surface of the Z-Rail Slide Mount has a ¼ 20 tap for attaching a threaded articulating arm or accessory. In this kit, we’ve attached our Z-Rail Cheese Stick.

The Z-Rail Cheese Stick attaches to our Z-Rail Slide Mount with the included screws. It can be placed parallel to or across the mount. There are four ¼ 20 screw holes spaced two on either side of the center. You can attach up to two Z-Rail Coldshoe pieces for hotshoe accessories like a mic or small light.

The fourth and final element is one Z-Rail Coldshoe. One side of the Cheese Stick can be used for a hotshoe accessory while the other is open for a 1/4" 20 accessory.

Zacuto dovetail accessories are adjustable to work with Z-Rail, NATO, SWAT, RED, PICATINNY, and WOODEN CAMERA rails.

3” Z-Rail

The Zacuto 3in Z-Rail is part of our QR Handle, EVF Top Mount and the Z-Rail Z-Lock. It is compatible with the RED Epic/Scarlet, Sony F3 and FS700, Panasonic AF100, Black Magic Camera and others. It attaches via (2) ¼” 20 screws (included) that are spaced 3/8" screw center to center at their closest to 2" 5/32" at their furthest. The 3in Z-Rail can be used on a second camera so you can quick release any of the Z-rail accessories mentioned above back and forth between cameras. The 3in Z-Rail has a ¼ 20” screw mount in the center to add a Noga arm or other accessories. You can add our Z-Rail Slide Mount for multiple accessory mount options.

Z-Rail Slide Mount

The Z-Rail Slide Mount clamps onto our standard Z-Rail and tightens with a quick release ratcheting lever. The Z-Rail is part of most of our camera top handles and our EVF Top Mount. The Z-Rail Slide Mount can clamp forwards or backwards and slide up and down the Z-Rail for balance and accessory placement. It has a threaded rod port and can accept a Zacuto 15mm male rod. This allows you to attach a rod set at a right angle to the Z-rail. You can attach two Z-Rail Slide Mounts to a Z-Rail and set the rods to lightweight or 15mm studio spacing over your camera lens to hold a follow focus and mattebox. Or, you can use the rod to hold a Zacuto quick release arm and accessory like our Zound Rod which could hold a microphone, a light, or our EVF.

The top surface of the Z-Rail Slide Mount has a ¼ 20 tap for attaching a threaded articulating arm or accessory. You can attach our Z-Rail Coldshoe for any hotshoe accessories. The Z-Rail Cheese Stick attaches to our Z-Rail Slide Mount with the included screws. It can be placed parallel to or across the mount. Hotshoe Ball Mount

Omni-directional hotshoe ball mount is perfect for mounting a Zacuto EVF to a camera hotshoe. Quick locking mechanism keeps ball mount firmly in place. One flip of the lever releases the ball to get the perfect angle for your shot. Comes with a standard ¼ 20 male screw on top. Can be mounted on any accessory with corresponding ¼ 20 female screw hole.

EVF Quick Release Mount

The EVF Quick Release Mount enables you to quickly move your EVF between the Hotshoe Ball Mount (included with the EVF’s) and any 15mm arm system or rod. Simply attach the ZUD ¼ 20 to the standard ¼ 20 male screw on top of the Hotshoe Ball Mount (or any other ¼ 20 screw mount), attach the Zicro Mini to the bottom of your EVF via the ¼” 20, and slide it onto the ZUD. Turn the lever on the Zicro Mini to secure the EVF and turn again to release. This allows you to quickly move the EVF to use a different shooting technique.
