The Z-Finder Jr. is Zacutos most simple model optical viewfinder. It acts as a stabilizer, cuts out any extraneous light, offers 2.5x magnification, has a 40mm diameter Zacuto optical designed lens, and has multiple mounting options. The Z-Finder Jr. does not have a diopter, instead it uses Z-Finder Extender Frames to adjust the focal point in stages. The Z-Finder Jr's focal point is -4.75 and up (unlimited with extender frames).
The Z-Finder Jr. comes with two mounting options. The first is the silver forked Z-Finder Jr. Mounting Bracket shown in the product photos.* This mounting bracket must be sandwiched between a tripod plate (or similar) and the camera. An included rubber backed snap on frame attaches to the Jr. body and sits up against the camera LCD to avoid scratches or movement. The actual Z-finder Jr. is held in place with pressure from the fork of the bracket. This method is great for people who only shoot video. If you also take photos and will need to come up to the camera viewfinder, you may prefer the second method - our 3 adhesive Z-Finder Mounting Frame.** This method does not require the silver bracket or the rubber backed frame. The Adhesive Frame attaches directly to the camera LCD and the Z-finder can pop on and off that frame. This method will work for all 3 LCD screens.

The GH3 Z-Finder Pro is an optical viewfinder that allows the Panasonic GH3 DSLR camera to have the correct form factor for video. This Z-finder will magnify the LCD screen by 2.5x and has a diopter for specific focus tuning. It cuts out any extraneous light and offers an initial point of stability by pressing your eye against our comfy, large eyecup. The GH3 Z-finder Pro comes with a 40mm diameter Zacuto optical designed lens, anti-fog coated protective covers, and all necessary additional accessories for the Panasonic GH3. The GH3 Z-Finder Pro attaches to your Panasonic GH3 with the included Gorilla Plate V2 and Z-Finder Mounting Frame for the GH3. The Z-Finder Mounting Frame for the Panasonic GH3 camera is specifically designed for a Panasonic GH3 and is not compatible with any other cameras or alternate set ups. It will not work when a battery grip is added to the camera or when the camera screen is articulated. The Z-Finder frame attaches to the DSLR Gorilla Plate V2 with two red Z-Finder Thumbscrews which screw directly into the Gorilla Plate V2. The frame has a rubber coating on the back to avoid scratching and to ensure a clean seal with the LCD screen.

The Gorilla Plate is used in both of our Gorilla Kits (Striker and Target Shooter) and must be used with the Z-Finder Pro.
The Z-Finder V2 will also work with this plate! You must also purchase a frame to mount your V2 onto the Gorilla Plate. The Gorilla plate attaches to your camera using the standard tripod screw hole. You can also mount your tripod plate underneath the Gorilla plate so you can quickly go from handheld to tripod use. For mounting the Gorilla plate to the tripod, it has (2) Ό 20 screw holes and a locking pin hole. The Z-Finder frame attaches to the Gorilla plate using two thumb screws.
The thumb screws and slider are not included with the Gorilla Plate; they are included with the Z-Finder Frames. The frame can be removed by loosening the thumb screws and pulling up on the frame.

The Gorilla Plate Adapter centers the tripod holes on the bottom of the gorilla plate. The Gorilla Plate Adapter is used in conjunction with the Zacuto Gorilla Plate. The Gorilla Plate adapter is needed to center the lens and camera between the rods if you are using a Z-Finder Pro with another manufacturer's rod support system supporting follow focuses and matte boxes.
Note: A height adjustable matte box is needed if using a matte box with the Gorilla plate on another manufactures plate system unless their plate system is height adjustable like the Zacuto DSLR Baseplate.
The Gorilla Plate Adapter comes with a longer 1/4 20" screw that will replace the smaller 1/4 20" screw that comes with the Gorilla Plate. You will need to take your screw out and use the longer one provided with the adapter to attach your camera to the plate.

Zacutos popular adhesive frame system is available for cameras with 3.2 inch screens. This fast, simple frame is a no frills solution for moving your z-finder quickly between cameras. This frame is compatible with every Z-finder on the market.
PLEASE NOTE: The 3.2 adhesive frame currently ships with one extender frame. In order to fit our standard Z-finder to wider LCD screens, we have modified the way it connects for this new frame. It snaps into the frame with tabs on the side. This new connection method requires the use of an extender frame in order to connect securely.
D800 USERS: The Nikon D800 has a dial close to the screen that gets in the way of our 3.2 adhesive frame. We recommend D800 customers use a clear screen protector to attach the sticky frame. You can use part number BM-12 that comes included with the camera or this screen protector which can be purchased separately. When attaching to the screen protector, only the top and bottom adhesive of the frame is used. The 3.2 sticky frames will be scored and marked so users can peel off the backing on the top and bottom only and keep the backing on the sides so the glue will not attract dirt and lint.

The Z-Finder Extender Frames allow you to further adjust the focal point of the Z-Finder by semi-permanently stacking the frames via a snap fit on to the skirt of the Z-Finder until the LCD screen is in focus for you. This is primarily for people who are farsighted or who wear reading glasses. This item includes 4 extender frames; all 4 extender frames will not be needed for everyone. It is best to test how many frames you need by stacking one at a time until the LCD is in focus for you. In order for the Extender Frames to lock properly, a new skirt is needed on the Z-Finder.
