The Z-balance was designed for long length, front heavy, camera packages. The Z-balance attaches to the 15mm lightweight rods from your camera’s baseplate. The Z-balance will attach to the tripod plate using a 3/8 16” and ¼ 20” screw. The Z-balance should be placed in front of your camera baseplate when the center of gravity is under the lens from adding weight to the front of the camera with accessories like a depth of field adaptor, follow focus, matte box, etc. The adjustability of the Z-balance makes it possible to balance a front heavy camera on your tripod properly.
